AIX Boot Devices
Setting and Displaying the Boot Devices
Which device a server will boot from is controlled by the bootlist. From a running server, this can be controlled by using the bootlist command. Examples
bootlist -m normal -o - displays the bootlist for normal mode
bootlist -m service -o - displays the bootlist for service mode
bootlist -m both -r hdisk0 hdisk2 - set up the bootlist for both modes (normal and service) so that hdisk0 will be tried first, followed by hdisk2 . The -r flag causes the results to be displayed afterwards.
